Draw & Annotate Tools

How to use the Draw tool to select an area for reference and the Annotate tool to attach a note to any point of the image.

Step 1: Select an image from the media gallery on the left, Figure 1.

To use the Draw Tool

Step 1: Click on the 'Draw'.

Step 2: Move the cursor over the main image in the viewing area and click to begin drawing.

Step 3: Click in intervals in a circular pattern around the area of interest.

Step 4: Click on the original anchor point (largest square) to finish the drawing, Figure 2.

To use the Annotation tool:

Step 1: Click 'Annotation'.

Step 2: Then click on the area of the image you wish to add a note. This will open a text box that the user can then type into, Figure 3.

Step 3: Hit Enter when the note has been finished, Figure 4.

Notes:

  • The annotation can be moved around the image by clicking on the text and dragging.

  • A user can add multiple annotations to the same image. 

  • Draw and Annotation tools can be used with all core functions (Bulbar, Lid, Staining), with other tools like Wratten, Enhance, and Red Free, and on original images. 

  • Use the Reset button to erase a note or drawing.
